Bramble Cottage offers both long and short stay as well as respite breaks.  A short stay is an ideal way to experience first hand our friendly first rate service. As a carer or relative you can relax knowing that a friend or loved one is being looked after in a safe, welcoming environment with luxurious surroundings and quality personal care. The manager, Mrs Diana Shaw has over 15 years of experience caring for and working with the elderly.  She has completed the Registered Manager Award.

Prior to admission the manager or deputy manager will arrange to meet you to assess your care needs and will start to get to know your likes and dislikes. A tailor-made care plan will be developed to meet your individual personal care needs whilst promoting independence, dignity and personal choice. You will be allocated a key worker (main carer), ensuring continuity of care, and offering that little extra support with day-to-day living (letter writing, shopping, activities etc).
     

Stringent recruitment procedures ensure that staff are carefully selected.  Our skilled and friendly staff receive regular and accredited training and work hard to offer quality, personalised care.

The handling, reordering and administration of medication is supervised by the manager who works closely with a local pharmacy.  Professionals such as G.P.s, district nurses, chiropodists readily visit the home.
